Born and raised in Minnesota, I received my B.A. from Hamline University in Legal Studies & Spanish. During my undergraduate education, I also received my paralegal certificate. This led me to begin my career in immigration as I interned at a private immigration firm during the completion of my undergraduate studies.
After college, I continued to work at the same immigration firm as a paralegal where I focused on deportation defense and family-based immigration. At the same time, I attended law school at Hamline University School of Law (now Mitchell Hamline School of Law). After I earned my Juris Doctorate, I continued my law career representing immigration clients.
After working in the private sector for several years, I transitioned to the public sector where I worked with the Self-Represented Litigant Program. During my time in the public sector, I assisted individuals with a wide variety of civil legal matters. Now that I have returned to the private sector, I will continue focusing on immigration and civil matters, primarily focusing on family-based immigration and deportation defense.

I grew up in North Carolina, but I've called Minnesota home for almost a decade. My background is in computer science. I've had several different careers including computer programmer, event coordinator, and stay-at-home mom. I began working as a paralegal at Peltier Law in 2018.

I've lived and worked in Minnesota for over 50 years. Primarily, I have worked in the public school system as a translator and interpreter with non- English-speaking students and families. Having worked in this field, and being Latino myself, I understand the needs and challenges that exist in our multilingual communities. I strive to assist families and individuals to be understood when there is a language barrier.
